Have you recently arrived in Germany and frequently heard that Germans are “a bit special”? Maybe you have already been living in Germany for a while and have experienced confusing situations? Do you experience misunderstandings and conflicts with your coworkers? Do you not know how to deal with German coworkers?
In that case, the workshop “Do's and Don'ts of Academic Work Life in Germany”, offered by the Graduate Academy, is a great opportunity for you and/or your spouse to learn more about living in a different culture and getting along in your German university work environment!
The workshop is held by the intercultural trainer Ms. Yvonne Brockhaus and aims to help you understand culture and etiquette in German academic and how to give and receive feedback in the workplace. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask Ms. Brockhaus questions about Germans that you might not have felt comfortable asking in other settings.
Dates 2025: Feb 11 (Tue); Nov 18 (Tue)
