CampusTV is a training editorial department at the University of Tübingen. We are open to students of all disciplines. We were founded in 2005 as a TV-only editorial department. Since then, and in addition to videos, we have added animation, explanatory films, photo galleries, text and audio slideshows, and interactive graphics to our repertoire - each depending on the purpose of that which is to be communicated.
With every new subject, we ask ourselves: With which medium can we best communicate the various aspects of the story? And: In which sphere of activity are we moving: Linear TV, Multimedia, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LiveTV? Our focus continues to be the moving image, but, in the future, we would like to approach the medium of virtual reality for our communication purposes.
What are the goals of CampusTV?
CampusTV teaches the editorial and technical basics for the modern media world. There is a basic course for this, which is offered once a semester. In addition, there are many small and large training courses in the areas of photography, social media, animation, moderation, etc. External lecturers supplement the training programme. Peer teaching is part of everyday life in our editorial team. All editors contribute their knowledge and skills. It is important to us that you are supported in all aspects of your work at CampusTV. We see ourselves as a space in which we can experiment together. There are ECTS points for the basic course and the work in the editorial team, which can be recognised as a key qualification via the Career Service in accordance with the respective study regulations.
