Information on Funding

Funding objectives

The Facilitation Formats are part of the overall concept “Securing academic success: Ready for a globalized world”, which aims to sustainably improve the framework conditions for teaching and learning at the University of Tübingen. As part of the call for proposals, we are funding selected programmes that address different phases and levels of the study programme, open up experimental spaces, design teaching innovations for courses or classes, develop module concepts, implement profile or focus lines or design entire curricula. To enable the sustainable enhancement of teaching, the experiences gained from experimenting with new concepts of teaching and learning - whether successful or not – are to be analysed and summarized.

In each funding cycle, the project proposals have to address a specific thematic focus. In the pilot phase 2023/24, the focus was on “Teaching and learning in the digital age”. The projects funded in the 2024/25 funding cycle focus on “Promoting critical thinking in science and society”. The 2025/26 funding cycle, which takes place in cooperation with Division II – Research, focuses on ‘Scientific skills through research-based learning’.
