International Networks

The University of Tübingen is an active member in three international networks of universities:

The main goals of multilateral collaboration in the networks are the internationalization of the University in research and education and the enhancement of its international visibility by furthering joint bi- and multilateral research activities, strengthening the internationalization of education and teaching at the member universities, and increasing the international mobility of students and researchers.

Matariki Network of Universities

The Matariki Network unites presently eight universities from Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand under the joint vison of “Partnering for a better world”.

Dartmouth College will unfortunately leave the network on 1st July 2025 (see statement).

The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities

The Guild has 21 member universities from across Europe. Its goal is to further research and innovation at the European level.

"CIVIS - A European Civic University" is a group of eleven European universities. The alliance aims to promote international student exchange and involvement in civil society.
