Are you looking for funding opportunities but you do not have the time or inclination to read a lot of guidelines and fact sheets? Once a month, the Research Funding Snacks offer a short insight into different funding opportunities and the team of the Research Support answers your questions.
What? The Research Department team provides information about various funding opportunities (in English).
When? The first Thursday of the month, 12-12:30 p.m. (changes due to holidays are possible, see dates given below)

There are various funding opportunities to attract outstanding international academics to conduct research and teach at your institute. We will provide an overview of the most significant ones: Henriette Herz Scouting Programm, Humboldt Research Fellowship, Philipp Schwartz-Initiative, Teach@Tübingen, Emmy-Noether Programm, Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (PRIME).

The DFG Individual Research Grant (in German: Sachbeihilfe) is the most popular project funding from early postdoc researchers to professors. In its flexible funding modules, you can also raise funding for your own position (Eigene Stelle). We will present the particularities of the funding scheme and inform you about some do's and don'ts in writing the proposal.

July 6, 2023: Certificate Programmes of the Graduate Academy
The Graduate Academy offers interdisciplinary workshops, consultations and career advice to Doctoral Candidates and Postdocs at the University of Tübingen. Next to this, we also offer three separate certificate programs on "Leadership in Academia, Industry & Society" (Postdocs, English), "Science Communication and Media Competence" (Postdocs, English) and “Science Management” (Postdocs and Doctoral Researchers, German). The certificate programs are year-long programs offering courses and coaching and lead to a certificate that reflects the additional interdisciplinary qualification gained. In this presentation we will shortly present the three programs and what they include, as well as when and how to apply for them.
