Diversity

The Diversity Representatives support the University of Tübingen in its goal of developing a university culture based on diversity and equal opportunities, in which all its members can develop and contribute their individual abilities regardless of gender, ethnic origin, age, social and religious background, disability or sexual identity. They support the Vice-Rector for Diversity in the continuous development of a diversity strategy that encompasses all areas of the University of Tübingen and takes diversity in all its dimensions into account.

The Diversity Representatives are the contact persons for all questions relating to diversity and offer advice and support in cases of disadvantage and discrimination during studies and in the workplace.

Care

The University of Tübingen considers good support for university members of all status groups in reconciling studies, academia and work with family responsibilities to be a matter of course. The family Representatives support them in implementing a family-friendly university culture characterized by mindfulness and appreciation, based on family-friendly working and study conditions.

The Representatives advise and mediate on issues relating to the compatibility of family responsibilities and studies, academics and career at the university and are equally available to all status groups at the university for information and advice. In addition, they coordinate the “Audit familiengerechte hochschule.”
