To support you during your stay in Tübingen we have set up a Buddy Program in which a student of the University of Tübingen teams up with an incoming international student.
Our program aims to initiate a cultural and personal exchange between new international students and experienced students of Tübingen, to expand one’s own cultural horizon, as well as the strengthening of intercultural skills and competences.
The Buddy Program for degree-seeking students not only matches you with a personal buddy, the semester-long program with joint excursions also allows you to get to know Tübingen student life first-hand and make new friends.
The degree-seeking Buddy Program was set up for newly arrived international students who are seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tübingen.
Please do not confound this buddy program with other buddy programs of the University of Tübingen. An overview of buddy programs for international students can be found here.
Matching of registrations: By the end of March, depending on the number and type of registrations, we will allocate the buddies as best as possible, taking into account individual wishes.
Wait for matching email: If we were able to place you with a buddy, you will receive an email with your international buddy assignment.
Contacting your buddy: Now nothing stands in the way of getting to know each other! Contact your buddy partner and off you go!

The semester-long program for the summer semester 2026 has been published as a moodle course as of now. If you'd like to be admitted, please send an e-mail to the degree-seeking buddy program team at degree.buddyspam prevention@zv.uni-tuebingen.de. After you have been admitted to the course, you will receive detailed information on the individual program points.
Highlights of the the last summer semester's program: A trip to a local winery, a trip into a local cave, a city trip to Stuttgart as well as day hikes in the region.

According to the motto "exchange, explore,exercise" you have the opportunity to get to know different sports every week, to exchange ideas with other students and to become active together in the group. Whether alone or together with your buddy from the buddy program - every week a new sports program of the University Sports Center awaits you.
