In November 2019, the University of Tübingen successfully reaffirmed its status as a University of Excellence for another seven-year funding period. To continue meeting the demands of an outstanding research environment in the future, a needs-based, dynamic, and strategically oriented approach to human resource development is essential. Against this backdrop, the university’s Researcher Development concept defines three key areas of action—recruitment, career development, and qualification—and outlines a set of measures aimed at sustainably optimizing the support structures for all career stages (doctoral researchers, postdocs, professors, etc.).
A central objective is to ensure genuine equal opportunities, which is firmly embedded as a cross-cutting theme.
