This chip card is the property of the University of Tübingen. If it is lost or damaged due to careless behavior, we will have to charge you the corresponding fees (currently € 15). In the event of card defects due to technical malfunctions (e.g. the semester imprint is no longer visible), you will of course receive a replacement free of charge on presentation of the defective card.
In the event of theft or loss, the Registrar's Office can block your student ID card. To do this, please send us the signed application for a replacement card and transfer the €15 to the account of the Universitätskasse Baden-Württembergische Bank AG, IBAN: DE29 6005 0101 7477 5036 21. Please state only your student number as the reason for payment. Once your card has been blocked by the Registrar's Office, the Studierendenwerk will also be automatically informed overnight to block the payment function and the University Library to block the loan function, and the card will be blocked for access to the building.
You can obtain the application form required for a replacement card here.
You can send old, defective ID cards together with this application form here or drop them in your letterbox. A new passport photo is not required for the creation of a replacement ID card, but can be used on request. It takes about a week to create a replacement ID card. The new ID card will then be sent to you by post.
If you find student ID cards in the university area, please send them to the Registrar's Office by internal mail or drop them in the internal mailbox in Wilhelmstraße 19. The Registrar's Office will then send the student ID cards to the students after checking them.
