Gender, Diversity and Care Consulting

Equal opportunities are not only an essential element of successful research, but also an integral part of many application procedures. Gender and Diversity Consulting is aimed at scientists who are in the planning phase for a collaborative research proposal or an excellence proposal or who are in a responsible position in an existing research network or cluster.

A convincing gender equality strategy of the consortium is part of a successful proposal. Since 2020, DFG collaborative proposals must also reflect the relevance of equity, diversity and care to the research project. The German Research Foundation (DFG) requires appropriate consideration in all research consortia and projects funded by it. These now play a significant role in the evaluation of funding proposals (SFB, FOR, clusters).

Funding for gender equality measures can (and should) be applied for, up to an annual amount of 15,000 euros for RTGs and CRCs and 30,000 euros for CRCs. The European Union and other third-party funding bodies also attach great importance to promoting gender equality in science.

The Gender & Diversity Consulting of the Equity team is available to advise all application initiatives of the University of Tübingen. We offer qualified, equality-related and diversity-related application advice:
