Bunte Wiese

„Bunte Wiese“ (Colorful meadow) is an initiative to promote biodiversity on public green spaces. It was founded in the course of the Year of Biodiversity 2010 by students and employees of the University of Tübingen. They are committed to a sustainable maintenance concept for public parks and green spaces in the city of Tübingen. Together with the city of Tübingen and the Tübingen office of Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, existing measures are being reconsidered and improved. Following on from existing ideas, an exemplary concept is to be developed and implemented that shows how biodiversity can be promoted even in small areas.

Climate Editorial Team

Journalism in the fight against the climate crisis - Would you like to deal with different facets of the topic of climate and expand your journalistic know-how in the process? Then the climate editorial team at the Centre for Media Competence is the right place for you. As a team, we accompany exciting projects by students from all disciplines on their way to the public. Or we interview, film and produce content ourselves about everything that's on our minds when it comes to the climate. There are no limits to your creativity.

foodsharing Tübingen

Foodsharing Tübingen has been working to combat food waste since 2014. Despite having numerous food savers, they still rely on the help of many new committed people to maintain existing partnerships and fair share initiatives and to establish new ones. Get in touch and become a food saver yourself: tuebingenspam prevention@foodsharing.network

Fridays For Future Tübingen

Fridays For Future Tübingen is the local group of FFF Germany and advocates for climate protection in various ways.

Climate garden Tübingen

The climate garden at the University of Tübingen was established in 2012 as an initiative for sustainable development by students from various disciplines. It serves as a place of learning for a regenerative city of the future and for climate-friendly urban self-sufficiency with fresh food. The garden is open to all interested parties as a space for experimentation, learning and meeting. There is an active community garden group of about 20 active people who meet regularly.

PapierPilz

PapierPilz collects misprints and paper waste and then binds them back together into spiral-bound notebooks. The aim is to avoid waste and not throw away things that are not actually waste. PapierPilz products are therefore also documents, evidence of throwing things away.

Sch(m)utzengel

The Sch(m)utzengel Tübingen are a group of people who show that real change doesn't have to come from above. They prove that every person, no matter how small their actions may seem, can make a difference. They meet regularly for joint litter collection campaigns in Tübingen and volunteer their time to make Tübingen cleaner. Want to join in? Then sign up for the Sch(m)utzengel mailing list or WhatsApp group!

Scientists for Future Tübingen

Scientists for Future Tübingen is the regional group of SFF and supports the global climate movement.

SustainAbility - PhD Initiative

We are an initiative of PhD students at the University of Tübingen. We have different backgrounds, but are all interested in the different aspects of sustainability. Our first project was a sustainability symposium in December 2017, where we developed new ideas and planned the next steps for our initiative.
