German Buildings and Architectural Designs

by Tiyah Goba

German buildings and architecture is everything! Love, love, love it!
In the first few days we spent touring around Tübingen, I came across beautiful architectural designs and building structures. The cathedral church and the old town buildings were and still are my favorites.

The love for the design goes beyond just the exterior. Walking into the cathedral church, in the old town of Tübingen, I was in awe. The structure and the design of the church was lovely, from the windows, right through to the ceiling. Being able to tour different places and parts of Germany as well as in Tübingen, admiring the great vintage building designs and structures has been the outmost exciting experience.

The vintage and old designs, which have been present for more than 200 years were my favorite. The old town in Tübingen has buildings that have not been modernized ‘til this day. This adds a different and unique form of beauty to the city. The buildings and their architecture in Germany are very different from the structures found in South Africa. Which made the experience so much more intriguing. Sparking a new perspective on art and architectural designs.

South Africa have very few old, vintage buildings. Most buildings have been modernized and the old buildings that remain, have a very different architectural design compared to Germany. This evokes the idea that architecture differs from region to region, made evident by the trip in Germany. The German buildings and architectural designs and structures seem to emanate from the rich sense of art among the people of Germany, as German, seems to be quite rich in art and architecture.

A great mixture and combination of the modern and vintage, comtemporary designs. Both artistically an historically appealing.
