Help desk for Academic Writing

Do you have to write a scientific text during your studies (term paper or thesis) and have specific questions and problems? Are you not really sure what is expected of you or how you can meet these expectations? The Help Desk for Academic Writing can help you with this!
If you are currently working on a specific project, we will accompany you through the work process and support you with the concept, the logical content structure, and the linguistic form. If you want to improve your writing skills in general, we offer tips and exercises to work on your individual difficulties.
Please note: The writing consultation is not a correcting or editing service. The purpose of the Help Desk for Academic Writing is to offer you support so that you will be able to manage your work as independently as possible.

Consulting: Daniela Schmeiser (appointments by arrangement)
Department of German as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Programs

By the way...

Have you heard about the University’s Writing Center?

International students who already have a good command of German will also find advice about academic writing at the University's Writing Center. Would you like to know how to narrow down your topic, need a tip on how to structure your text or find a suitable formulation, want to get neutral feedback, or have lost the "red thread"?

For these and all other questions about academic writing, the Diversity-Oriented Writing Center is the right place to go. In our personal consultation, we work together to find answers to your specific questions and support you in developing individual solutions.
