Requirements for final enrolment

Enroling as a student in Tübingen

Please find the cut-off date for your enrollment on your letter of admission.

 

Before enrollment:

We recommend that you obtain German statutory health insurance. Should you purchase private health insurance or already have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), you must also register with one of the German statutory health insurance companies in order to obtain an exemption from statutory health insurance. The insurance company will send your insurance status for your enrollment to the University of Tuebingen electronically. You can find more information here:

Enrollment:

To enroll, please log in to your account on the ALMA-portal: https://alma-uni-tuebingen.de (using your log-in name and password).

In your account on ALMA, you will find the corresponding button "Not Student at Uni Tübingen? Start request for enrollment here!". After completing the online procedure, print the enrollment form, and sign it.

EU-/EEA-citizens and non-EU-citizens who already are in Germany: Please send the following documents within the deadline mentioned in the letter of admission to the Student Administration at the University of Tübingen, Wilhelmstr. 19, 72074 Tübingen:

  • your sigend form "Application for enrollment"/ "Antrag auf Einschreibung (Immatrikulation)" (1st page, saved from online registration, see above)
  • your letter of admission
  • one passport-format photo
  • a copy of the data page of your passport
  • your final school degree certificate (certified copy of the original) plus the translation 
  • or / respectively your transcript of records / degree of university studies (certified copies of the original), and the translation
  • your language certificate (certified copy; alternatively original plus a simple copy)
  • China/Vietnam/India: Certification of the Academic Testing Centre (APS-Certificate) 

Attention: If these documents are not issued in German or English, the documents have to be in a certified and legitimized translation in German or English.

Please note that you are not fully registered until you have paid all fees.

Non-EU/EEA Citizens who are in their home country: For your enrollment please send us the following documents as pdf by e-mail:

  • your sigend form "Application for enrollment"/ "Antrag auf Einschreibung (Immatrikulation)" (1st page, saved from online registration, see above)
  • your letter of admission
  • one passport-format photo
  • a copy of the data page of your passport

After your arrival in Tübingen, please make an appointment with a  team member responsible for international admissions in undergraduate programs during your first semester and present the following documents:

  1. your final school leaving degree certificate, respectively your transcript of records/degree of university studies (certified copies or original with copies)
  2. your language certificates (certified copies or original with copies)
  3. Students from China/Vietnam/ India: Certification of the Academic Testing Center (APS-Certificate)

Attention: If these documents are not issued in German or English, the documents 1. & 2. have to be in a certified form of translation in German or English.

Please note that you are not fully registered until you have paid all fees.
