Please note: From January 1, 2026, the university town of Tübingen will levy an accommodation tax of €2 per night per adult (aged 18 and over). This applies to stays of 1–60 days in the same accommodation and will be charged separately.
The monthly prices are valid for a period of 15 to 30 nights starting on the day of arrival. For every additional night regular room prices apply
The prices include 7% VAT
Payment:
by direct money transfer from your bank account to the University bank accounts mentioned on the invoice
in cash at the University cash desk in Wilhelmstraße 26, opening hours Mo./Wed. from 9:30 am to 11:45
by bank or credit card in our guesthouse next door (on Lessingweg 3)
Please note that if you need to cancel your reservation, we require a minimum of 6 weeks' notice before your reservation date. Any cancellation after that date, a no-show or early departure will incur cancellation fees of 20 € per night, up to a maximum of 300 €
A TV as well as free internet access via LAN cable and WLAN are provided
Fresh towels are provided weekly, bed linens every two weeks
Residents of two to three rooms share a bathroom, and there are three common kitchens
There is no housekeeping. Guests are responsible for cleaning and maintaining their rooms during their stay
There is a washing machine and a dryer in the cellar, which can be used for an extra charge
Our guesthouse is a no smoking building. Smoking in the guestrooms is strictly forbidden. Please be aware that any violation of this policy will result in a mandatory room-cleaning charge of 150 €
The state charges a fee for using radio and television devices in order to finance the public broadcasting institutions that are governed by law
This broadcasting fee amounting to 18,36 € per month covers the use of radios, televisions and computers in an apartment or room
In the guesthouse on Lessingweg 1 the University of Tuebingen bears these costs for stays shorter than 6 months
If a guest stays for 6 months or longer they have to pay the fee on their own from the first month of their stay
After having registered at the Bürgeramt (local registration office) and if your stay in our guesthouse is 6 months or longer you will automatically receive a registration form by mail. Please note that the registration for the broadcasting fees is obligatory.
