Career Service

The Department of Interdisciplinary Education and Professional Orientation of Tuebingen University offers consultation and coaching for graduates that are about to enter the German labor market. The consultation is also available in English.

Computer Center (ZDV)

The University's computer center provides support with all IT-related questions. Having trouble with your workplace computer? Questions about your university card or university e-mail address? Just contact their support team at the e-mail address or phone number provided on their homepage.

Family Office

The Family Office offers support on all questions regarding balancing work and family life.

Funding Programs for Researchers and Scholars

The University of Tuebingen's Welcome Center exclusively offers support for all non-academic issues of your research stay. However, funding of research stays at our university is unfortunately not included.

Nevertheless, we are glad to provide help with the following websites of our university homepage that inform comprehensively about funding programs for researchers and scholars.

German as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Programs

Language Learning Center

The Fachsprachenzentrum (Language Learning Center) offers language courses in eight languages (Catalan, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Swedish and Spanish) from beginner to advanced levels for students of all faculties as well as other groups. Students can join these classes for free, employees and scholarship holders need to pay a small fee.

Psychological Help/Mental Health

The University of Tübingen also offers information on support through preventive services, counseling options and competent contact points for all aspects of mental health (Website in German).

Researcher Development & Graduate Academy

Room of Silence

Inside the University Library (UB), the "room of silence" offers an opportunity for prayer, meditation, or simply a moment of peace.

Tuebingen Research Alumni Network TRACe

TRACe, the Tübingen Research Alumni Centre, fosters contacts between the University’s researchers, research alumni, and international guest scholars. University Library (UB)

The main university library (UB) offers a large collection of books, journals, and manuscripts. In addition,small rooms for group work can be booked. To access the internet or write papers several computer rooms are available as well.

Everybody can freely enter the library and read books or newspapers; however, to borrow or order books you will need a student ID, employee ID, or a university card. If you are not a student or employee, the Welcome Center will be glad to order a university card for you - just contact us.

University Sports Program

Do you enjoy doing sports? The University of Tuebingen’s sports department offers a wide variety of sports from aerobics to Zumba at low prices to students, employees, and other residents of the Tuebingen area. More information is available on the homepage of the sports department.
