Alumni-Meeting in Boston

Alumni from the University of Tübingen met each other in Boston for the first time

From different disciplines but still one thing in common: 12 alumni shared their joint memory of the University of Tübingen when they met each other in Boston in September 2018 for the first time.

"I enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing about everyone's career as well as their experiences during their time in Tübingen", said Kristin who works and conducts research at the University of Albany, and who drove all the way to Boston only because of this meeting. "Are former exchange or current students also allowed to come?" was a frequent question the former doctorate student Patrick quickly answered with 'Yes'. He used this network occasion while he was just about to start his Marie Cure Fellowship at the Children's Hospital in Boston. "It has been an amazing experience to meet Tübingen alumni, like a family welcoming you back after a long time being away from home!" So now they all are in Boston, what's coming up next? Not only focused on the past but present and future, alumnus Yao, who himself was invited shortly afterwards back to Tübingen for the first Neuroschool Alumni Meeting, offered a tour on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with insights into well known buildings before they all went to dinner at a seafood restaurant together with our University representative. Having met for the first time and had fun, they ended up being motivated to repeat such a meeting around the same time next year.
