Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing
Description:
Europe faces four major challenges in the field of Health:
- Increasing costs in the health and care sector due to a growing number of chronic illnesses, an aging population witha corresponding need for care, and growing demands from society
- Damaging environmental influences including those resulting from Climate Change
- A growing risk from infectious diseases
- inequality of health and care conditions
By investing in research, technology and innovation, smart, sustainable and scalable solutions will be developed. International cooperation will be indispensable.
Synergies wil be achieved, among other things, through the integration of social and humanities research. Ethical issues are equally taken into account.
The following topics are listed in the work program:
- Better healthcare, economic growth and sustainable health systems
- Digital transformation in healthcare
- Secure digital solutions and Internet security in healthcare.
