New Publication: Article “Service Learning” in the ”Handbuch Öffentliche Soziologie”

Service Learning Courses promote the social engagement of students in existing civil society initiatives.

They also contribute to strengthening the dialogue between the university and society through community-based teaching research projects. These aspects are shown in the article Service Learning by Karsten Altenschmidt and Glaucia Peres da Silva in the Handbook of Public Sociology, which was recently published. The editors are Stefan Selke, Oliver Neun, Robert Jende, Stephan Lessenich and Heinz Bude.
