Starting now: Global Awareness Education with new courses

In the summer semester of 2023, Global Awareness Education is offering new courses with a scientific focus, including an excursion to the Alps to make climate change directly experienced and to reflect it in an artistic way.

Can the impact of climate on the world's wilderness be captured and communicated better through scientific analysis or through art?

Perhaps the "or" should turn into an "and"? Diverse, inclusive, networked – we need such approaches to find solutions to global, cross-border challenges, such as the climate crisis, migration, or world trade. In Global Awareness Education, we promote awareness of our networked world, raise awareness of the different perspectives of the Global North and South and we empower students to become responsible actors of the global society.

In the summer semester of 2023, we are now also offering new courses with a focus on natural sciences, including an excursion to the Alps in order to experience climate change directly and to reflect it in an artisic way. In addition to that, we promote solutions to the global climate crisis, for example by simulating the establishment of an own start-up for carbon sinks in particularly suitable locations around the world.

With further courses on globalization, global governance or development in interesting formats, such as Serious Games or in partnership with universities from the GlobalSouth, you can sharpen your international profile and earn our certificate.

These Global Awareness Courses are all held in English and are part of the Transdisciplinary Course Program, which you can register for through alma until 2 April 2023.
