We have a wide range of modern video and photo cameras (Blackmagic Design Cinema Pocket 6K and 4K, Canon EOS 5D Mark III) for the production of high-quality film and photo shoots. The matching accessories cover the entire range required for journalistic reporting and scenic filming. Solid camera tripods, microphones and lighting equipment are just as much a part of our equipment as 4K field recorders and rigs.
We lend out high-performance editing laptops for post-production of image and sound recordings. Media projects can be edited in DaVinci Resolve and post-edited in a variety of ways. Complex sound designs are created from original sounds, atmospheric sounds and sound effects using Audacity and ProTools. Even cinema-quality mixing with Dolby 5.1 technology is possible in the film editing suite.
Radio & Audio
The campus radio station Radio Micro-Europa produces its own radio show every week. We produce these at the highest technical level in our recording studio. Reports, expert interviews, extraordinary portraits - whatever interests the students is made suitable for radio here under professional guidance. The soundproof voice booth is also frequently used in the production of many television reports to record "off-camera" commentaries and voiceovers.
Animated Film
With Lotte Reiniger, Tübingen has a true pioneer of animated film. In keeping with this tradition, the Center for Media Competence also facilitates and promotes the production of animated films. Thanks to our animation tables, graphics tablets and the appropriate software solutions (Dragonframe, ProCreate, VideoScribe), there are no limits to creativity in the production of stop-motion films, silhouette animations and explanatory films.
TV Studio & Live Broadcasts
We regularly produce live broadcasts in our TV studio. Our recording room is equipped with four modern 6K cameras, which are controlled in the adjoining control room and mixed with a 4M/E image mixer. We use systems such as zoom or vMix for switchovers. We stream and record in UHD.
