The University of Tübingen affirms the maxim of sustainable development. Its actions are based on the goals of preserving natural resources for subsequent generations and reconciling economic and sociocultural goals. The Foreign Language Center also affirms its social and environmental responsibility.
The FSZ offers language courses that can be credited towards the Studium Oecologicum certificate. The Studium Oecologicum is a seminar program focusing on sustainable development. The Foreign Language Center is the only language institution at a university in the state of Baden-Württemberg that offers language courses on sustainability outside of language degree programs.
