Developing Common Ground across Age and Language Proficiency
A6 examines cognitive and linguistic skills related to the understanding of common ground. To this end, we test children of different age groups and adults in their first or second language. In memory experiments, we will test cognitive prerequisites for perspective-taking in language comprehension. In eye movement studies, we will track the influence of perspective-taking during language processing.
