Equipment rental

The procedure for renting our equipment is as follows:

Contact us

Contact us via e-mail at ausleihespam prevention@dh-center.uni-tuebingen.de, if you would like to rent one or more of our devices.

Reservation

The desired equipment will be reserved for you, if available for the desired time period.

Pickup

A rental contract must be signed at the time of pickup, listing the equipment and outlining the terms of the rental (see fold-out text below).

Return

On the agreed return date, you return the equipment to us, functional and clean.

Invoice

Upon return, we will generate an invoice through the Finance Department according to the fees listed below.

Rental fees

The fees are based on the original cost of the device and mainly serve to maintain operation and functionality. We are happy to offer additional services for cost-covering fees.

Terms and conditions

The rental contract contains the following terms and conditions:

  • Modifications to the rented item are prohibited. The item, including all components and accessories, remains the property of the lender for the entire duration of the rental. It is prohibited to grant or assign any rights to the rental item to third parties. The operating instructions on the equipment must be observed.
  • The renter receives the rental item in a functional and clean condition. The same applies to the return of the item. Any defects are to be pointed out by both parties. The renter confirms with his signature that the equipment has been handed over to him in working order.
  • The renter undertakes to use the rented item only in its intended operational use in compliance with the operating instructions and with due diligence.
  • The renter is liable for any damage or loss of the equipment during the rental period without taking into account the fault of third parties or unforeseeable events. The DH Center is not liable for any damage caused by the use of the device.
