Mini Workshop: Study Planning & Organization – Hands-On Alma

Dear new international degree-seeking students at the University of Tübingen (UT), 

we are glad to have you here!

The first weeks at a new university can feel daunting or overwhelming with an enormous amount of new information, locations, contacts, regulations, and platforms to learn. Through our international student onboarding services we want to make you feel welcome and help you navigate the first steps on your student journey at UT.

This Mini-Workshop centers on study organization and planning with Alma. 
Alma is UT's central study management system, and in most degree programs practically indispensable.
In our workshop, we want to guide you through the study planning process by giving you exercises that will help you get to know the system and create your own semester schedule.

You will learn:
   - the basic elements of the "Alma" system
   - using module handbooks and exam regulations for study planning
   - creating your timetable and prioritizing events,
   - how to deal with registrations and deadlines, and
   - handling scheduling conflicts.
