You are studying humanities or natural sciences and have to give a presentation or write a scientific text and your head is spinning?

Perhaps because the topic seems too big, you can't formulate your own question or structured argument, you can only summarise but not develop your own point of view, you don't know which ideas are important and which should be left aside?

Then visit our course and learn with us that critical thinking is a skill we all need and can nurture. It helps us to find out how things work and why they are the way they are. It helps us understand the world around us, predict the future better, make smarter decisions, keep things in perspective, act fairly and solve problems creatively. Critical thinking can be analytical, reflective and creative and is therefore very much in demand at university!

In this hands-on course, you will develop the skills to make judgements about evidence and information to form your own views and to present your views clearly.

To prepare:

Please bring a topic for a possible paper that you might have to write so that you can train with it developing a critical way of thinking!

We are happy to consider accessibility requirements. Please let us know when you receive your enrolment confirmation. Unfortunately, organising a hybrid event or sending the slides is not possible due to the workshop format.
