Writing Events

The Diversity-Oriented Writing Center regularly hosts writing events that give you the fantastic opportunity to focus entirely on your writing projects and connect with fellow students. Join us to exchange ideas and get motivated in a supportive and collaborative environment!

Writing Week

The Tübingen Writing Week takes place annually in the summer and is entirely dedicated to academic writing. Our peer tutors from the Diversity-Oriented Writing Center and various partners offer short workshops on key aspects of academic writing. The workshops will provide you with theoretical foundations and equip you with practical methods to help you effectively tackle your writing projects.

Writing Week Program, July 2024

The biggest event of its kind, the annual Long Night of Procrastinated Papers, has been organized by the Diversity-Oriented Writing Center since 2012. It takes place on the first Thursday in March at the University Library. It's the perfect opportunity to find the time and space you need to focus on your writing. Whether you’re looking to make progress on current projects, pick up where you left off on an old paper, or start something entirely new, this event is for you. Work on your seminar paper, bachelor's thesis, master's thesis, doctoral dissertation, lab report, presentation, essay, or experiment protocol alongside fellow students and doctoral candidates in the University Library, which stays open all night for the event.
