Interdisciplinary research institutions, centers and institutes

Complex issues call for collaboration across disciplinary boundaries. The broad spectrum of academic fields at the University of Tübingen provides a productive basis for this kind of cooperation. In interdisciplinary centers and institutes, researchers from different faculties work together on multi-faceted topics. The teams in the Core Facilities not only provide infrastructure and services as a means of support, but also conduct interdisciplinary research.

Associated institutes are organizationally, economically and legally independent research institutions that work closely with the University on the basis of a cooperation agreement.
