Exchange Buddy Program: For exchange students from partner universities of the University of Tübingen who will study in Tübingen for one or two semesters.
You can register for the Exchange Buddy Program in the winter semester 2025/26 until August 1, 2025.
Process:
Matching of registrations: By the end of February, depending on the number and type of registrations, we will allocate the buddies as best as possible, taking into account individual wishes.
Wait for matching email: If we were able to place you with a buddy, you will receive an email with your international buddy assignment.
Contacting your buddy: Now nothing stands in the way of getting to know each other! Contact your buddy partner and off you go!
In accordance with regulations of TRACS (Transdisciplinary Course Program & Career Service), the acquisition of 2 ECTS is possible. The ECTS can be credited to the certificate Global Awareness.
Requirements: Participation in the intercultural training, participation in the entire program, submission of a reflection portfolio.

In the virtual TÜ-VIP Buddy Program, students from all over the world can exchange ideas on current topics once a week. Tübingen buddies (re)present the city and the University of Tübingen, while the international buddies present their countries. The program is for all those who are unable to travel abroad or want to prepare for a stay abroad.
The course language is English.
Between October 6th and December 8th, 2025, participants will meet virtually every Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to discuss various topics. The buddy teams are "matched" based on various criteria such as common interests, hobbies, languages, field of study, etc.
In consultation with TRACS (Transdisciplinary Course Program & Career Service), the ECTS can be credited towards the "Global Awareness" certificate or as a key qualification.
Requirements: regular active participation
Please note: Only buddies enrolled at the University of Tübingen can receive ECTS. It is not possible for international buddies to obtain ECTS, but we can issue a certificate of participation.

Further process:
After registration you will receive a confirmation email from us that we have received your data. Buddy teams (consisting of 1 Tübingen buddy and 2-4 international buddies) will then be put together based on the hobbies and interests indicated.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that every international buddy will receive a place in the program, as this depends on the number of registrations.
You will receive an e-mail with your acceptance or rejection for the virtual buddy program shortly before the course starts. You can then simply come to the first meeting and receive all further instructions from your teacher.
