Have you ever heard of a “Besenwirtschaft” (literally “broom tavern”)? It is a traditional, seasonal wine tavern found in Germany's wine-growing regions, especially in the southwest. Local winegrowers open their own small restaurants for a few weeks each year to serve their homemade wine directly to guests. These taverns offer a cozy and informal atmosphere with simple, regional dishes. The name comes from the broom (“Besen”) hung outside the door to show that the tavern is open – a traditional sign welcoming guests. 

Visiting a “Besenwirtschaft” is a wonderful way to experience local culture, meet people, and taste authentic regional wines directly from the producers. 

We are therefore delighted to invite you to visit “Müllers Besenwirtschaft am Enzbach” in Unterjesingen. Join us for a few pleasant hours in a charming atmosphere with a good glass of wine. Non-alcoholic beverages will, of course, also be available. The menu includes both cold dishes, such as cheese bread, smoked meat bread, and trout fillet, as well as warm dishes, such as the traditional “Schlachtplatte” (a plate of mixed meat), farmer’s sausages, and potato-pumpkin soup
