At the heart of our work stands a simple but powerful idea, beautifully captured in an Southafrican proverb:
"UMUNTU; NGUMUNTU; NGABANTU – People need people to be human”. This belief has guided us over the past 15 years.
Let’s celebrate this anniversary with an International BBQ – a relaxed afternoon with great food, warm conversations, and the chance to meet fellow researchers and their families.
To make sure everyone can enjoy the barbecue just the way they like it, we kindly ask you to bring your own food to grill – whether it’s meat, fish, vegetarian, or vegan. The choice is yours!
We’ll take care of everything else: the Welcome Center will provide a grill, a variety of salads and drinks, and fresh bread.
We are excited to spend this special afternoon with you – a moment to look back with gratitude and look ahead with joy!
