Julia Schiefer received Young Researcher Publication Award

of the Society for Empirical Educational Research (GEBF)

For the paper "Scaling up an extra-curricular science intervention for elementary school students: It works, and girls benefit more from it than boys", Julia Schiefer won the 2021 Young Investigator Award of the Gesellschaft für Empirische Bildungsforschung (GEBF) in the "Post-Docs" category, which is endowed with 500 euro. The study investigated ways in which understanding in the field of science can be promoted as early as elementary school. The study was conducted by a team of researchers from the Hector Institute for Empirical Educational Research and published in the Journal of Educational Psychology.
