Together for Diversity: Get Involved in Pride Month 2025

Dear students, researchers, educators, and staff,

June is Pride Month! Once again, the University and the City of Tübingen are co-organizing a program to draw attention to the ongoing need to address discrimination and fight for the recognition of gender and sexual diversity in our society and in our institutions. Especially now, as right-wing extremism is on the rise, we want to highlight the constitutionally enshrined protection against gender discrimination and the equal rights of sexual minorities. Pride Month is also an opportunity to celebrate gender, sexual, and cultural diversity as something that enriches our society and our university.

We would like to offer a rich program at our university, and I warmly invite you to contribute to Pride Month 2025. There are various ways to participate by organizing events such as:

  • Workshops and seminars
  • Lectures (including guest speakers)
  • Panel discussions
  • Film screenings followed by discussions and Q&A sessions
  • Networking events for researchers
  • Awareness-raising workshops on discrimination prevention
  • Exhibitions
  • Information stands

Students who wish to get involved can, as usual, submit funding requests to the Student Union to finance their activities. You can find more information and the application form (in German) here:

All events will be announced on the University of Tübingen's website and communicated through the university's social media channels.

Would you like to find out more and network in advance?

An initial planning session with the City of Tübingen will take place on Thursday, 13 March 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. Afterwards, from 7 to 8 p.m., there will be more opportunities for discussions in the context of the Queer Network Tübingen. If you wish to participate in one of these meetings, please register by Monday, 10 March 2025, via email: info@zgd.uni-tuebingen.de, subject: Pride Month 2025 – Organisation (register with your first and last name and specify your status at the university).
