The International Office of the University of Tübingen has an opening for a 

Student or Research Assistant (m/f/d, up to 30h/month)

in the Oregon/Baden-Württemberg Exchange Program.

The position is available starting February 1st, 2026 with funding for a period of 6 months with possibility of extension. The employment is up to 30 hours per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our exchange students with orientation, logistics, bureaucracy and navigating a new cultural environment
  • Facilitating the creation of content for promotional materials, information databases and social media
  • Providing organizational support with office tasks 

Qualifications: 

  • Passion to work interactively with international students in a small team environment with a high level of understanding and flexibility
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent self-driven organizational skills
  • Intercultural communication skills and/or experience with working and living in a cross-cultural setting is strongly preferred
  • Ability to interact and write in English and German is strongly preferred
  • Ability and openness to travel to students and partners in various cities in Baden-Württemberg (costs are covered by the program)
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interest in designing promotional content and social media management
  • Applicants that can committ to 1 year or more are preferred
  • Applicants that can committ to supporting our student orientations are preferred. These take place in March, April and August 2026.
