The annual meetings of the Higher Education Network for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Baden-Württemberg provide a platform for exchange, discussion of ESD-related issues and challenges, and networking. Good practice examples presented by individual members or external speakers can aid as inspiration for participants to implement ESD at their respective institutions. Speakers from neighboring countries or political bodies such as UNESCO report on the latest developments in their fields of activity. In addition, participants gain insights into ongoing and emerging research activities in the field of ESD, both within and beyond the network, which are subsequently discussed in an open forum.
