Coaching

Coaching is an effective tool for personnel development that supports and empowers managers. The results- and solution-oriented process support is particularly helpful in challenging situations when it comes to fulfilling professional requirements.

As a manager at the University of Tübingen, you have the opportunity to take advantage of coaching if needed. Coaching is carried out with either external or internal coaches. You benefit from a space where you can bring up your individual concerns and have your needs addressed. Together with the coach, you initiate a self-directed learning process and can directly try out and implement the strategies you have developed

What issues are suitable for coaching?

Possible concerns include, for example:

  • Reflection on one's own leadership behavior
  • Reflection on problem-solving behavior
  • Assessment of current situation / clarification of goals
  • Reorientation / change
  • Assistance with decision-making processes
  • Developing visions
  • Activating unused resources
  • Working on personal presentation
  • Conflict management / conflict resolution

The process

The individuals involved in the process are bound by confidentiality and undertake to treat all information they receive as confidential.

1. If you are interested, please contact Antonia Jeismann directly. In a personal conversation between you and Ms. Jeismann, it will be determined whether your request is suitable and you will receive all the important information. You will then fill out a registration form to clarify the assignment. 

2. When arranging external coaches, you will receive two individual suggestions from the coaching pool and indicate your preference.

3. This is followed by an initial meeting between you and the coach. 

4. If this meeting is positive, the coaching process begins.

5. Implementation of the coaching: The frequency, duration, and location of the individual sessions are agreed upon directly between you and the coach.

6. After completion of the coaching process, an evaluation of the achievement of objectives and the coach will take place.

7. You will apply the solutions developed in your everyday work as a manager.
