The accompanying study program will provide both professional and technical but also general and social skills (Softskills) through "Fördern und Fordern". The teaching concept is designed to promote self-initiative, creativity and autonomous problem solving, with university teachers as mentors.
The core of the study program structire are the weekly RTG-Seminars, complemented with the methodological workshops organized by the graduates as well as selected events offered by the participating institutions (Colloquia, Journal clubs).
In addition, professional-relevant further training as well as excursions to research and industrial facilities are organized in order to provide the graduates with insights into future occupational fields. The Graduate Program is meant to become a supporting, structure-forming part of the doctoral education in the area of microbiology and infection research at the University of Tübingen and the Tübingen University Hospital.
