10th Career Day brings together around 1,500 students and more than 70 exhibitors at the Paul Horn- Arena

On 19 May 2026, the 10th Career Day Tübingen took place at the Paul Horn-Arena. Around 1,500 students took the opportunity to connect with more than 70 companies, organizations and initiatives, explore career opportunities and make use of a wide range of advisory services.

With around 1,500 student visitors and more than 70 exhibitors, Career Day Tübingen 2026 was once again a great success. Held for the tenth time at the Paul Horn Arena, the career fair offered students and doctoral candidates the opportunity to learn about internships, working student positions, entry-level career opportunities, civic engagement and individual career pathways in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Despite the current challenges in the labour market, the event once again brought together a broad range of companies, institutions, non-profit organizations and student groups. Exhibitors were available for personal conversations, questions regarding career entry and professional development, and opportunities to build valuable professional networks. In its anniversary year, Career Day continued to make an important contribution to career orientation and to connecting students with potential employers and societal stakeholders.

The fair was complemented by a diverse supporting programme. Highlights included a gaming lounge featuring a Mario Kart competition as well as sporting challenges organized by the Tigers Tübingen, TUSSIES Metzingen and TV Rottenburg, where students could test their skills in basketball free throws, handball and volleyball. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged meaningful exchange between students and exhibitors and created additional opportunities for networking and personal interaction.

An additional programme was offered for international students. As part of the Come to Stay project, a group of international students received guided support during their visit to the fair and targeted preparation for conversations with recruiters and HR professionals. After having professional application photos taken, participants were able to practise their communication and presentation skills directly at the event and gain valuable experience for entering the German labour market. The programme supported students in building professional networks, gaining confidence in interactions with potential employers and strengthening their prospects for a successful career start in the region.

The University of Tübingen was also represented with a wide range of services. Our TRACS team provided information on the many opportunities for transdisciplinary education and career orientation. In addition to advisory services from our Career Service (CV checks and Elevator Pitch), the TRACS areas TCP, Civic Engagement & Service Learning and Global Awareness Education were also present. Furthermore, the Start-up Center, the Alumni Office and the Praxisportal participated as additional university contact points.

Career Day once again demonstrated the value of personal encounters and accessible exchange formats for students' orientation and development throughout their studies. The event provides a platform for networking, offers insights into professional and societal fields of activity, and supports students in exploring and shaping their individual pathways beyond university. The strong interest shown by students and the high level of exhibitor participation underline the importance of Career Day as a key platform for orientation, engagement and career development in the region.
