Confidential counseling in case of anti-discrimination, sexual harassment or abuse of power

Have you experienced discrimination or observed an instance of it?

The Central Anti-discrimination Counseling Office at the University of Tübingen provides confidential advice on your case in accordance with §4a of the state law governing institutions of higher education, as well as providing guidance on the options for an official complaint with all its legal implications under labor, disciplinary, and/or criminal law.

  • The service is confidential.
  • Anonymous counseling may be provided by telephone; you need not give your name.
  • We will set out your options for taking action.
  • We will explain to you the consequences of legal action.
  • Further steps will only be taken with your consent.

Your request for counseling

To request counseling, simply send an email to the contact person or arrange a counseling appointment by phone.

Data privacy and confidentiality

All information obtained during the counseling—including personal data—will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent (cf. duty of confidentiality § 12 (4) sentence 1,3 LHG; there is no right to refuse to give evidence in court). You do not have to give your name at a counseling session; however, fully anonymous counseling is only possible by phone.

Counseling in sign language

For hearing-impaired individuals seeking advice, we recommend submitting a request for counseling in sign language (in German) via the German government service.
