Advice and complaints in cases of discrimination, sexual harassment or abuse of power at the University of Tübingen
Are you experiencing discrimination? Do you feel disadvantaged or harassed? Do you need help?
We are here to provide you with professional assistance, offering expert advice and support in all cases of discrimination, abuse of power, sexual harassment, and any form of violence or stalking.
A complaint triggers a clarification procedure that is subject to various legal regulations. So it’s best if you contact us at the Central Anti-discrimination Counseling Office to find out how the complaints procedure works:
Discrimination, harassment, or abuse of power that hinders your full participation at the University of Tübingen may be complex or take many forms. Consultation is particularly important when the causes are not immediately apparent and the options available to you or the consequences seem unclear. We offer fully confidential and supportive advice.
If you wish to file an official complaint, this may result in, for example, legal proceedings under labor, disciplinary, or criminal law, which may continue even if you decide not to pursue the matter at a later date.
1. Confidential consultation at the University
Our Central Anti-discrimination Counseling Office for issues related to sexual harassment provides advice on the basis of § 4a LHG (state law regulating universities) and, in this function, does not answer to anyone else or to the University; it is bound only to follow the law. All contact persons listed here are duty-bound under § 12 (4) sentence 1.3 LHG to provide fully confidential counseling. The duty to maintain confidentiality applies even in respect of other parts of the University.
Would you like to file a complaint and take legal action? If you are unsure which office is the right one for your case, or if you would like to discuss your case confidentially first, please contact our independent Anti-discrimination Counseling Office to find out about the options.
