Purpose:
The State of Oregon, USA and the State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany established a higher education partnership in 1968. A primary aspect of this partnership has been the student exchange program, which has helped more than two thousand students engage in international mobility and academic exchange over more than 55 years.
The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Arts’ Faculty Mobility Grant program is intended to help seed research collaborations between faculty in participating Oregon and Baden-Württemberg universities, strengthen relationships and expand partnership activity. The award covers travel costs for a visit of up to one week to a partner institution. Travel must take place during the 2026 calendar year.

Review and Timeline:
Applications will be reviewed by a committee with representation from Baden-Württemberg and Oregon. Applicants will be notified of a decision by February 27th, 2026.
Funding must be processed and disbursed in the 2026 calendar year.
Travel must be completed by December 31, 2026.
