Guided Tour of Unterjesingen’s Vineyards

Fancy a stroll through an idyllic vineyard while learning about Tübingen’s rich winemaking tradition?

Join Sabine Koch for a guided tour of her vineyard in Unterjesingen - offered in English! You’ll gain fascinating insights into the region’s newly revitalized wine culture, as well as the history of winemaking in Unterjesingen and the surrounding area, from the Middle Ages to today. Along the way, Sabine shares her expertise in organic viticulture and what sets it apart.

The tour concludes in her cozy wine cellar, where you'll have the chance to sample a selection of her delicious wines.

PARTICIPATION FEE:
2,00 € per person
An additional 14,00 € per person for the wine tasting is to be paid in cash on site.

Please be aware that you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from Unterjesingen. 
A possible train connection from Tübingen main station leaves at 3.41 p.m. (RB 63, direction Herrenberg). This train will arrive in Unterjesingen at 3.51 p.m..

The entire event (walk + wine tasting) will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.

Natalia Backe and Daniela Neu will accompany the group and will be waiting at the meeting point in Unterjesingen.

Registration

If you’re interested in taking part in this special event, please register by August 28, 2025 by sending an email to the Welcome Center at the Faculty of Medicine welcomecenterspam prevention@med.uni-tuebingen.de (subject: “Vineyard Tour Unterjesingen”).
When registering, please let us know whether you would like to join only the vineyard walk or both the walk and the wine tasting.

IMPORTANT: 

  • As the walk includes a wine tasting, this event is not suitable for children or teenagers.
  • The paths are not wheelchair accessible, so unfortunately the tour is not suitable for participants with mobility impairments.
  • Please check the weather forecast in advance and dress accordingly. Sturdy walking shoes with good grip are strongly recommended.
  • Be sure to bring enough drinking water for the walk.
  • Don't forget your student ID and/or Deutschland-Ticket for the train ride.
  • Please note that the number of participants is limited. Only registered guests and their partners may take part in the event.
