Hike through the vineyards of Metzingen

This hike begins with a visit to a vineyard near Metzingen, where we might have the chance to taste local wines before starting our journey. From there, we’ll hike through rolling hills, passing through Neuffen, a charming town surrounded by beautiful landscapes. 

The route offers spectacular views of the region’s vineyards and countryside, making for a truly picturesque experience.

We will start the excursion from there and expect to return to Tübingen around 4.30 - 5.00 p.m.

IMPORTANT: 

  • The hike is not suitable for participants under 14 years old or individuals with heart conditions or other serious medical issues that could be affected by physical exertion. The paths are not wheelchair accessible.
  • Check the weather beforehand and be prepared for rain or heat. Wear good hiking shoes with strong grip. Bring at least 2 liters of water, lunch, and plenty of snacks. Don't forget your Student ID and/or DeutschlandTicket/Jugendticket for bus travel.
  • This tour is organized and conducted by one of our volunteers (Armin Vahdat). Therefore, the registration process and handling differs slightly from the organization by the Welcome Center. Please read the information below regarding payment, organization etc. carefully.

Registration

To secure your spot, kindly follow these steps:

  • Send €5 to Armin’s PayPal account (nicerobservatoryspam prevention@gmail.com) to confirm your participation. Add only your WhatsApp-enabled number and full name in the PayPal payment description (e.g., +49 1761234567 John Smith).
  • You may invite up to three guests (friends or family). In that case, please pay for them and include +1 in the PayPal description (e.g., +49 1761234567 John Smith +1).
  • Please note: There is no waiting list and cancellations by the registered participants are non-refundable. Participation is limited to 25 people on a first-come, first-served basis. If you register after the limit is reached, you will be automatically refunded.
  • The payment deadline is 11:59 p.m. on July 3, 2025. However, registration will close promptly once the 25-person limit is reached, with a notification posted on our Welcome Center Stammtisch WhatsApp group. On July 4 we will add the registered participants to the hiking WhatsApp group and share additional journey details.
