My field of research is empirical educational research. As part of my doctorate, I am investigating the Hessian error index introduced in 2023, which obliges teachers to apply a grade deduction in all written assessments above a certain number of errors.I am particularly interested in the impact of the index on grades, learning motivation, and the linguistic development of learners. Based on this, recommendations can be made for future educational policy decisions.
