RTG member Sofiay Kartalova on extended Research Stay in Denmark

In February and March 2018, Sofiya Kartalova participated in a Visiting programme at iCourts – the Danish National Research Foundation’s Centre of Excellence for International Courts at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. As a visiting researcher at iCourts, Sofiya conducted research on the application of multilingual analysis for identifying linguistic divergences between terms used interchangeably in the Court of Justice of the European Union’s preliminary rulings, with a particular emphasis on the phenomenon of ambiguity. Further, on 28th February 2018, Sofiya delivered a lunch seminar on the topic of “Strategic Ambiguity Resolution as an Opportunity to Explore the Dynamics of Trust in the Dialogue between the European Court of Justice and the Spanish Constitutional Court”.
