Equal opportunities at the RTG 1808
In order to actively support equal opportunities within science and research, the DFG supplies earmarked funds. The RTG 1808 uses them to finance measures aimed at the reconcilability of family duties and academic work and research as well as at the support and promotion of female colleagues.
Focus of equal opportunities measures at RTG 1808
Supporting the compatibility of career and family:
- Child care: the RTG provides a child minding service for colleagues outside normal nursery hours, e.g. for RTG activities
- Children's room: there is access to the family room in Brechtbau.
- Policy of providing child care facilities at academic events arranged by the RTG
- Colleagues with family responsibilities can be provided with a student assistant
Career development for female colleagues
- Seminars are organised in career-relevant skills for groups of colleagues, if not provided by e.g. the Graduate Academy (in co-operation with SFB 833)
- Grants and subsidies are available for steps to fulfil individual career development requirements
