We promote talent, optimize perspectives and offer interdisciplinary networking for the personal and professional development of young academics at our university and implement strategic concepts for researcher development.
The University of Tübingen supports innovative and interdisciplinary researchers who seek answers to the increasing challenges in a networked world and want to shape a globalized society. Early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) are essential to the research of the future and every talent deserves excellent conditions to develop his or her potential.
Our aim at Researcher Development is to provide all researchers who do not yet hold a regular professorship with the best possible, individually-oriented support on their way. We support the strategic planning of an academic career from the doctorate to the postdoc phase to the junior professorship with targeted group-specific, professional measures. Alternatively, we help with the development of a career strategy for a responsible position outside of academia.
We inform, advise, assist with qualifications and networking. We develop strategic concepts for researcher development, and coordinate and evaluate their implementation. As a central organization, we coordinate with faculty offices and are the central institution for the promotion of early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) at the University of Tübingen.
