Summary

From fluctuating developmental signals to stable stem cell behavior

TP B02 will study how fluctuating developmental signals are translated into stable stem cell behavior. The project will focus on the mechanisms of information processing by A-Type ARABIDOPSIS RESPONSE REGULATORS (ARRs), which integrate Auxin and Cytoknin stimuli and relay these signals to the stem cell regulator WUSCHEL. Starting point of the proposed experiments is the hypothesis that via a direct interaction with Class I Topoisomerases A-Typ ARRs exert their gene regulatory function by locally modulating chromatin structure.
