Summary

TP A05 investigates the role of the lipid transfer protein AtSFH1 in root hair development. Lipid transfer proteins of the SEC14 family are key regulators of lipid homeostasis in endomembranes and of secretory vesicle formation. We will analyze how the molecular structure of AtSFH1 determines specific biological activities and how AtSFH1 controls directed vesicle transport and the establishment of polarity in growing root hairs.
